Rice Creek Apartments

Great place to live. A wide range of residents. Families, young and older adults. Very on top of everything and very safe. Maintenance is on top of everything, specially the maintenance supervisor Machin. I been here only a few months with my wife and they have done so much to improve the property. I would highly recommend living here if you can find a spot. Great job staff!!

I have lived here over 2 years and I have yet to find the “established Luxury homes” they advertise. I have had only one handle on the front half of the apartment since moving in. The outside door handle is missing, the closet doors handles are missing, the microwave door handle never been seen. Have had to go multiple days in the summer without air conditioning. The pool gates are always locked and you only get access when you’re lucky or the office is open. Passageways in buildings are disgusting. Hotspot for illegal activity. Terrible unhelpful customer service from almost everyone “working” in the office. Worst living experience I’ve had and that’s saying something since I was in the military. This apartment complex is a sham. Nothing they advertise is true. Don’t be fooled. Other residents are nice though so I guess that’s a positive.

I've lived at Rice Creek Apartments for the past 9 months. The first 2 months were fine and then I started being overcharged for water. Rice Creek uses a third party, Utility Management to bill for water. The readings from the meter installed in your apartment are supposed to accurately compute the amount of water you're using. I started getting $84 and $95 water bills and I told them something was wrong. Well, Demi and Sandy stated I must be using more water than I had the first two months. This went on for several months until they finally sent a Utility Management representative out to check the meter. The representative confirmed what I already knew, that I had a faulty meter. They still have yet to credit my account for the overages and it's been over a month. The gates haven't worked since I moved in and the neighboring housing development residents use our trash compactor freely. The trash compactor is always broken and there's often dumpster rentals near the trash compactor to deal with the extra garbage. Crime is a problem here too. Just Google news and Rice Creek Apartments. Not sure if they thoroughly do background checks, but there are several shady characters living here. Do yourself a favor and sign a lease somewhere else or you'll regret it. I can't wait until my lease ends! Don't trust the positive reviews here. Members of management are writing them I suspect. Update 5/11/2021: My lease ends this month and management still hasn't credited my account for water charges. After I brought my concerns to their attention, management began charging me $200-$300 monthly water bills. Needless to say there is a pending lawsuit. My lease will end this month after 14 long months. The apartment advertises old photos on Craigslist and apartment websites. The playground doesn't exist. This apartment needs a good bleach and water pressure washing. Broken down cars with flat tires are found throughout the complex and you'll have a hard time finding a space to park your vehicle. Noisy neighbors that keep you up at night. Cigarette butts found on your patio even though you don't smoke - there are huge spaces in the wooden beams of the porches/patios. Dog poop found abundantly throughout the property so watch where you step - no one seems to clean after their pets. Take your time apartment hunting and be careful.

Wish I could NEGATIVE stars. Lived here for 2 1/2 years and it was okay at first. But the longer your there you can see the terrible office staff. They don't answer phones in the office, management is ran poorly, and the rent is highly overpriced for "Luxury" apts. Laundry center has broke washer and dryers consistently, gate hasn't been fixed since I lived there. Parking is also horrible, and the quote on quote pest control is a joke. So if your looking to pay a high price, have an infestation, but the so called pest team will enter your apt at there own convenience , Rice creek will let you know the day before dont worry or sometime they wont. And the trash dumpsters yeah I thought maintenance was suppose to keep the grounds clean. Lol the irony in that. Hell I could have done a better job if I was maintenance. I will advise anyone move in at your risk unless your prepared to put effort, stress, and time in obtaining justice.
